I. ACM (Association for Computing Machinery) | |||||||||||||||||||
KTU "STEP" was accepted (https://www.acm.org) in the person of the Rector, Doctor of Science, Professor, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Ph.D. Kavun Serhiy Vitaliyovych - to the Association for Computing Machinery, ACM - the oldest and largest international organization in the computer industry. It unites about 100 000 specialists (2011 data). The headquarters is located in New York. | |||||||||||||||||||
ACM consists of more than 170 regional chapters and 35 special interest groups (SIG), within which the main activities are conducted. Many SIGs (e.g., SIGGRAPH, SIGPLAN, and SIGCOMM) sponsor regular conferences that are becoming the predominant venue for presenting innovations in various fields. The groups also publish a large number of specialized journals, newspapers and other periodicals. | |||||||||||||||||||
ACM also sponsors other computer science-related events such as the ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC), and other events such as the chess match between Garry Kasparov and IBM's Deep Blue computer. | |||||||||||||||||||

III. WASET (World Academy of Science, Engineering and Technology) | |||||||||||||||||||
KTU "SHAG" became a member of the World Academy of Science, Engineering and Technology - WASET, World Academy of Science, Engineering and Technology. WASET is located in Turkey and registered in Azerbaijan. Its domain name was registered in 2007 with a contact address in Dubai. It is run by former science teacher Cemal Ardil, with the help of his daughter Ebru and his son Bora. Jemal Ardil is also the person who has published most of the articles on the WASET website. Before adopting the name WASET, the organization was known as "Enformatika". | |||||||||||||||||||
Background: WASET is the publisher of a number of open access journals on a wide range of scientific and technical subjects. The publisher was listed by Geoffrey Bill as a "potential, possible or probable" publisher and is listed as such by the Max Planck Society. | |||||||||||||||||||

KTU "STEP" has become a member of a professional community with networking, research and publication opportunities for all those working in science-intensive subjects. For more than 20 years KES has offered well supported events in the field of intelligent systems.
